Norwegian Water Cluster

is a membership organization consisting of 50+ private companies working in the water industry segment.

Including research and development, water engineering, operations, water and wastewater plant construction, equipment supply and specialist water treatment chemicals, among others. The cluster aims to highlight this wide range of technology solutions and qualifications through networking and collaboration.

The global water industry is set to embrace several changes in the coming years due to rapid urbanisation, severe climate changes, rising customer demands and emerging digital technologies. Also water has got its own sustainable development goal- nr. 6, adressing these issues as a universal call to action. Water is at the core of sustainable development and is critical for socio-economic development, energy and food production, healthy ecosystems and for human survival itself.

There is a global demand for resilient, energy efficiant and compact systems where several of our Norwegian companies are world leading in theis respective fields. We see it as one of the main focuses of the network that these products are presentet and offered to the global marked in need of technology.

The cluster is devided into aerias of focus in order to embrace all the members and their technologies but also to include the major, global trends in the marked. These are:

• Safely management of drinking water; digital technology and emergency readiness.
• Extreme weather: Technology for minimizing damages from flooding and stormwater events.
• Modul based solutions for treatment, purification and reclamation of sludge and waste water.
